Jesus Christ is the central figure of Christianity and we exist as a church to make him known to people today. Throughout the history of the Church all Christians have witnessed to the following truths about Jesus:
- the only Son of God, our Lord
- he was conceived by the Holy Spirit
- born of the virgin Mary
- he suffered under Pontious Pilate
- he was crucified, died and was buried
- he descended to the dead
- on the third day he rose again
- he ascended into heaven
- he is seated at the right hand of the Father
- he will come again to judge the living and the dead
