The Parent, Carer & Toddler Group is for children from 0-5 years with their parents/carers. The group is organised by members of the Parish Church and aims to provide a warm, friendly atmosphere and a safe play environment for adults and children alike.
One Thursday in the month we have a Bible-based story, a short prayer and songs to fit the theme. This is at 2.45pm, the usual singing time. The craft activity is also linked to the day’s theme.
Thursdays 1.30pm to 3.00pm
Old School Rooms, School Street, Rothley (next to the Parish Church)

This is the part of Rothley church for children aged 3-11. Sessions are run each Sunday during the 10.30am service other than on the first Sunday of the month. Children are organised in three groups: Bubbles (age 3 – Year R), Splash (Years 1-3) and X-stream (Years 4-6)
The Surfers leaders aim to provide an interesting, lively and varied programme, appropriate to age, introducing Christ and exploring the gospel. We follow the Scripture Union syllabus, Light, which includes series from both Old and New Testaments, finding out how God has worked through the characters in the stories and how his message equally applies to us today.
Alongside our weekly teaching programme, we have a number of special events. We hold three craft mornings each year, including a special Invite-a-friend Easter craft session, and a Light Party in October which is much appreciated by children and parents as an alternative to other Halloween events. In the later part of November and December the children and leaders work hard to put on our Christmas nativity play. Each year we organise an outing so that the children have a fun social event together where groups can mix and the children and adults get to know each other even better.
For many years now, we have taken Surfers children and their friends in Years 4-6 to The Oakes residential centre for a weekend of Bible teaching and adventurous activities. The child always thorough enjoy the weekend and benefit from high quality Bible teaching. Do have a look at the Oakes website!
