SCRAMBLERS, CLIMBERS & EXPLORERS
Our Children's groups at Rothley Parish Church are Scramblers (ages 3-5), Climbers (ages 5-7) and Explorers (ages 8-11).
We meet during the 10.30am service each Sunday. We spend a short time in church for the family focus and then for the rest of the service we are in the Old School Rooms. On the fourth Sunday of each month, we will start together in the Old School Rooms and return to church for communion. Come and learn about Jesus and have lots of fun! You will have great teachers and make lots of friends!
HOLIDAY CLUB
In 2017, we ran a holiday club on the theme of Cops & Robbers at Rothley School from Thursday 17th to Friday 18th August, 09.00-12.00 for children aged 5-11. On each day we explained the good news of Jesus through a selection of drama, craft, music, games and a short Bible talk. We also held a special holiday club family service at Rothley Parish Church on Sunday 20th August 2017 at 10.30am. Each day at holiday club there was a selection of drama, craft, music, games and a short Bible talk. It was an action packed, fun-filled three hours each morning.
On the first day we looked at the Parable of the Lost Sheep in Luke 15:1-7. We learnt from Inspector Josh that we are all like lost sheep who have gone astray.
On the second day we looked at the Parable of the Lost Coin in Luke 15:8-10. We learnt from Deputy David that we are all precious to God and that he sent Jesus to come and search for us.
On the Sunday we looked at the Parable of the Lost Son in Luke 15:11-32. We learnt from Inspector Rob that God is a loving father who is longing to forgive lost children who return to Him.
ALL-TOGETHER
Alongside our weekly teaching programmes, we run a number of all-together events for children aged 3-11. Our all-together events have included an Easter craft session, a Light Party at the end of October and putting on a Christmas nativity play.
Every year, we also take a group of children aged 8-11 to The Oakes residential centre, for a fun-packed weekend of great Bible teaching and activities.
